A Formula E car can teach you more than the speed of the racing. This is the concept of Driving Force Presented by PIF, an educational programme from the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and Formula E, which has now grown to include a new online platform for young people in Saudi Arabia and around the world.

Launched in 2025, Driving Force has so far engaged with 111,200 young people at more than 1,100 schools in Saudi Arabia, the US and the UK through workshops, teacher-led content and digital programmes. The new version of the experience offers more interactive elements, including challenges, quizzes, games and rewards, while exploring STEM, sustainability and the technology behind electric racing, with the launch content focused around Formula E's new GEN4 car and closer to the machinery of the championship.

And it is not just for students. Parents can explore future STEM and mobility careers with their children, while teachers can use the ready-made lessons and activities to bring topics such as sustainability and technology to life.

For PIF and Formula E, the bigger picture extends beyond motorsport, as the programme aims to use the enthusiasm for electric racing as an entry point for conversations about engineering, innovation, sustainability and the careers that will define future mobility. In other words, the next generation does not just get to watch the cars race. They can understand what makes them move.
