The two automobiles were unveiled in Jeddah on September 21 and marked the first locally produced vehicles from CEER, Saudi's automotive brand. Both designed and engineered locally, the two cars are set to go on production at CEER Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City.

And it's clear from a glance that the EXOBOT didn't come from a template that used to work for many automakers. The first look of the EXOBOT shows off a futuristic design with pillar-less design and upward-opening doors, hinting at a concept car more than anything else. The sedan is 5.26 metres long and 5.02 metres long for the SUV.

Beneath all that drama is the sort of performance that will have many people wondering if they're watching a car from a test-track. The EXOBOT makes use of a tri-motor all-wheel drive, with the higher specification producing up to 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. The sedan can reach 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds in its highest horsepower configuration while the First Edition produces 850 horsepower and 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds.

The First Edition also has its own set of highlights, with Nappa leather, red brake calipers, performance wheels and switchable lower-door tint. On the NEDC cycle, CEER expects the sedan to deliver a range of up to 670 km and the SUV offers up to 560 km.

EXOBOT is part of a larger plan for automaker CEER, which is set to unveil a seven-model lineup over the next five years. The company also has plans for its future range, which will take on various sizes and powertrains.

But for now there are two cars that everyone is talking about. EXOBOT is set to become one of the most talked about symbols of Saudi's new chapter in the car industry.
